I’m one of those people that likes to have a meal plan for the week. It helps me shop better, and saves on all those costly return trips to the supermarket. It also reminds me to get any meat that needs defrosting out of the freezer the night before and plan my time if I need to get something into the slow cooker, or do some of the prep in advance if we have after school activities on.
Normally I just write a list on a scrap of paper and stick it on the fridge, which works ok, (until the kids remove the magnets and the list disappears) but it’s not the most attractive of solutions. Also, I do have a tendency to remove the list at the end of the week and not get around to making a new one. So I thought I’d make something I could change each week and hopefully that will keep me on track with the planning.
This was a super quick project. I used a photo frame we had hanging about that hubby has already stolen re-purposed the glass from. I glued some chalk-cloth to the backing board of the frame, and then attached scrabble tiles to the chalk-cloth to represent each day of the week. Let it all dry overnight and it’s done!
Of course if you are the type who hates the idea of deciding so far in advance what you’ll be eating (probably the type who enjoys cooking I assume) then you could easily adapt this idea to a reminder board for activities or appointments, a daily chore chart for the kids, your exercise routine … anything!
If you make your own version of this I’d love to see a photo over on my facebook page.

Can I please be invited to dinner on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday?
Looks Awesome!
Love this Kelli!
Awesome idea (as usual) and a pretty funky layout….so do I see you on Sunday about 6pm for that roast???
What a great idea!
What a simple, yet cute idea! Can’t go wrong with scrabble;)
That’s inspired, Kelli!
